Woodland Carve & Cook Workshop
Woodland Carve & Cook Workshop
Sunday 22nd November | 11am–2pm
Ages: 9 – 16 years
Cost: €35 per child
Join us for a hands-on woodland workshop combining traditional wood carving skills with some tasty campfire cooking!
We'll learn how to safely use cutting and carving tools before getting stuck into making our own wooden butter spreader or simple cooking utensil.
Once our creations are finished, we'll get the fire going and prepare some food together, putting our new skills and handmade utensils to good use.
Along the way, we'll learn about working with wood, fire lighting, outdoor cooking and how to enjoy the woods responsibly while minimising our impact on the natural environment.
What we'll get up to:
Introduction to safe carving and whittling techniques
Carving a wooden butter spreader or simple utensil
Learning safe fire-lighting and outdoor cooking skills
Preparing and cooking food over the campfire
Taking home our handmade wooden creations
