THE RETREAT @ Lough Mardel with Roots Wellness

Friday 25th September (4pm) – Sunday 27th September (12pm)

A weekend to slow down, reset and head into the rest of the year feeling like yourself again. You need this weekend. Because somewhere between the busyness of the year and the chaos of summer, you've probably stopped including yourself in your own life. This is your chance to step out of it all, look honestly at how this year has felt so far, and ask yourself whether the pace you're living at is one you can, or even want to, sustain. Before the rest of the year fills your diary again, give yourself one weekend to slow down, reconnect, reset your nervous system and rest deeply. Through movement, nature, nourishing food and meaningful moments of reflection, you'll head home with healthier boundaries, a steadier pace and simple ways to make sure looking after yourself isn't something you squeeze in when everything else is done, but something that helps everything else function.

What to Expect

This isn't a retreat where every minute is planned or where you're expected to push yourself. It's a weekend with plenty of movement, plenty of rest and plenty of time to simply be. Join everything or dip in and out as you need. Sleep in if your body asks for it. Spend an extra hour in the sauna. Sit by the lake with a coffee. This weekend is yours. Whether you're coming on your own, with a friend or while pregnant, you'll be warmly welcomed.

No previous yoga experience is needed and every practice can be adapted to suit you.

Friday | Arrive, Switch Off & Settle In Leave work behind, arrive at Lough Mardal and let the weekend begin. We'll give you time to settle into your room, make a cup of tea and take in the surroundings before gathering together for a relaxed welcome circle. Then it's straight into good food, good company and getting to know one another over homemade pizzas. As the evening winds down, we'll move into a deeply restorative yoga practice with optional massage and acupressure to help release the tension you've probably been carrying around for months. If you fancy it, finish the night with a sauna before heading to bed.

Friday includes: * Arrive from 4pm * Welcome circle * Homemade pizzas and relaxed evening together * Restorative Yoga * Optional massage & acupressure * Unlimited sauna * A proper night's sleep

Saturday | Move, Breathe & Recharge Wake naturally and join us for a morning yoga flow to wake up the body after a good night's sleep. If your body needs another hour in bed instead, take it. There is absolutely no pressure. After breakfast, Brian from Tonnta Adventure will lead us on a gentle guided hike while I weave in a few simple mindfulness prompts to help you slow down and properly take in your surroundings. The afternoon is intentionally left spacious. Because most of us don't actually know how to rest anymore. Read. Sleep. Journal. Sit by the lake. Go back to the sauna. Have a chat. Or simply enjoy having absolutely nothing you need to do. Later, we'll gather again for another incredible meal prepared by Willie before settling in for a long Yin and Restorative practice. As Saturday falls on the Full Moon, we'll use the evening as a natural opportunity to pause and reflect. Not because the moon magically changes anything, but because it gives us a moment to stop and check in before another busy season begins. With gentle movement, reflective journaling, breathwork and a long Yoga Nidra, you'll have space to acknowledge everything this year has held, appreciate what's gone well, let go of what's been weighing you down and consider how you want the rest of your year to feel.

Saturday includes: * Optional morning yoga flow * Nourishing breakfast * Guided hike with Tonnta Adventure * Mindfulness in nature * Free time * Unlimited sauna * Delicious dinner by Willie * Full Moon Yin & Restorative Yoga * Reflective journaling * Breathwork * Guided Yoga Nidra

Sunday | Head Home Feeling Like Yourself Again We'll begin the morning with one final flow yoga practice before breakfast. If you'd like one last sauna before heading home, it's there waiting for you. We'll then come together for breakfast and a relaxed closing session with a few final reflections before everyone heads home. No unrealistic promises. No pressure to change your whole life overnight. Just a rested body, a quieter mind and a reminder that looking after yourself isn't a luxury, it's something worth making space for before life gets busy again.

Sunday includes: * Gentle morning yoga * Optional sauna * Breakfast together * Closing circle * Departure by 12pm Throughout the Weekend Everything has been thoughtfully planned to help you slow down, breathe deeper and leave feeling restored.

Your weekend includes: * Two nights accommodation at Lough Mardal Eco Lodge * All nourishing meals * Gentle Yoga Flow * Yin Yoga * Restorative Yoga * Guided Meditation * Breathwork * Reflective Journaling * Guided Nature Hike * Unlimited Sauna Access * Plenty of free time to rest, explore or do absolutely nothing This weekend is for you if... * You feel like you've spent the summer looking after everyone except yourself. * You're tired of running on autopilot. * You keep saying you'll slow down "when things calm down." * You know autumn is going to get busy and you'd rather head into it feeling rested than already exhausted. * You love good food, fresh air, movement, saunas and meaningful conversations. * You want a weekend where someone else takes care of everything for a change. Come on your own. Come with your best friend. Come while pregnant. Come exactly as you are. We'll take care of the rest. We'd love to welcome you to Lough Mardal this September.
